Happy Independence Day

Hello Our Members,

I just wanted to wish you all a Safe and Happy Independence Day Weekend. What ever you may do, be safe and try to remain within your physical limitations.

We are blessed with a great country and I for one will be celebrating the 4th of July. I will be giving thanks for our forefathers who made that day possible. Bring on the Sparklers and Fireworks!!! :)

Unfortunately, we had our Fireworks last night however, the 108 degree temperature. even tho NO humidity, was WAY to hot for me to be able to sit out and watch. So I have to just enjoy what is shown on TV. With my patches I'm afraid to sit out in that type of heat even tho the Sun is down. :(  

However, I'm THOROUGHLY enjoying sharing in EVERYONE else's FUN and Fireworks!!

So, THANK YOU EVERYONE for Sharing your Festivities with me and ALL of us here!!

I hope that you enjoy the "Parade of Boats" JUST as much or more that last night. If I were there I'd be right beside you watching it too. It sounds ABSOLUTELY beautiful!!

I had a wonderful time with our many friends last night. The Fireworks were beautiful. It's strange when you live in a small community that you seem to know everyone in one fashion or another. It was like on huge family and friends celebration.

I live outside of town on a beautiful lake that our home sits on. Tonight is our annual "Parade of Boats." We use to participate in this fun event. Boats are decorated with lights in all themes. There is a huge bonfire with a live band, fireworks, food and of course in Wisconsin, kegs of beer at one of the community waterfront owned lots. I think I will watch the "Parade" from my shore and sit the rest of the festivities out. Bouncing around the lake in our boat would certainly cause some nasty pain. Last night did me in and was a great gathering. I am grateful I was at least able to participate (by watching) in last nights festivities.

So Happy Independence Day to all of you once again.

My friends have insisted I not be left out from our little town's big celebration. One of our friends has brought a recliner to sit in the back of my husband truck which was parked in thee best spot at 6AM this morning!!  I have a front row seat at the fireworks tonight...and n about an hour we will be going to eat brats and sweet corn on the cob. I hope to get down a few bits and last through the grand finale.

I won't forget all those that made this celebration possible!!

Hear Hear!!  And while we socialize, barbecue and watch the fireworks, let us remember the unwavering courage of those who dared to defy the most powerful nation on earth by signing our Declaration of Independence.  And please say  a prayer for those in the armed forces fighting and dying for our freedom all over the world.  God Bless our Troops!!!
