Hi, just so it doesn't stress you out, I wanted to let you know that requesting a 2nd MRI with/without contrast does NOT always mean they found something. It could be the other way around. It may have come back "perfectly normal" and now they want to "double check" before sending you home w/ clean bill of health.
Both styles (with contrast, and, without contrast) reveal different things.
Getting it done both ways is most thorough!
They should have done it with and without contrast. That's the norm when doing any MRI or CT scan.
For many possible reasons, your doc needs further information in making a diagnosis.
Why not ask him?
