Hi~ Fent patch & Daliadud for break thru

Hi, I was put on fentanyl patch before they had generic ones. 2003 & Diluadid for break thru. I have liver disease non alch non reversible. So that combo of meds is best for me. My doctor did as appropriately moved me up to 50 mch then 75 & 100 strength patches as needed then back down so tolerance would work well. I was able to do some gardening & start working out at gym as year went by. Lost 118pds :-) We then moved to FL. Mind you I thought of nothing to be an issue as an majority is elderly here & thought would be fine. Just opposite. It has been a living hell down here! 1 trying to find a doctor to even prescribe my meds.. I had brought all my original medical records for them as well being my own advocate I knew would be needed. I have fought tooth & nails & have been with same doc (pain management) for 7 yrs now. Everyone else said no way. So have been on 25 mch patch & morphine IR 30mg up to 4 a day since the beginning. I have such a tolerance... I have doubled my patch at certain times.. works great.. But can't get them to bump up any of it. Until just recently they got a new ARPN & she wrote for 50 & doc signed them. So much better thank god. that was 3 mo ago. I have asked for the dilaidid & absolutely not. Now they are talking about lowering my morphine. ugh. The county I'm in Polk is the worst I've ever experienced! So I have to go to Tampa & then to Orange County Orlando for Endo doc. The pharmacy's are soooo strict here. I can take my script to Colo & they will fill without 1 question. So ridiculous. I mean I understand about the pill mills & such BUT what about us that are legit & need these meds to get by daily. Here is my main issue/question. I normally get meds from CVS down here. well the GM of pharmacy was transferred out & new one transf in. They told me last month that they are still power of Att for original stores & not sure they will have meds in stock in 3 days (I was 3 days early before they would fill them) So went back in took scripts nothing was said filled them & got home.. I had 4 left of my IR's out of patches. But took 1 ir. Noticed size was a bit bigger. looked closer the score was a bit deeper & numbers on other side were same 54 262 Roxanne West-ward Pharm. But they were like placebos. Strangest thing! After about taking 5 throughout day I took a 1/2 of 1 I had from previous month. WOW night & day. Bitter taste & was like 60 mg or stronger effect. By 4th day I'd taken 38 total without realizing it of the new script & in so much pain was unable to move! & in tears! it is not my tolerance. As I took other half of the 1 I 'd had & bam. Night & day. Well, I couldn't get them exchanged... I had 21 days to go. Great. So had to stretch patches but dbld them. Was great. Wish they would do that & lower others... Anyhow what would cause this to happen? I called Pharmaceutical company.. said possible temperature might cause it being stored in higher than 77 degrees for extended time. The exp date was 2019 which normal is 3 + yrs. Is it possible they WERE placebos? Or am I loosing my mind after all!? Have they changed the ingred of Morphine IR? On most of my meds like Synthroid, Ambien, Glucaphage, etc am unable to take generics as am allergic to fillers. The Ambien I have absolutely not 1 side effect! I started taking those before there were generics as well. Not ever any side effects like sleep walking, eating, putting things in cab instead of frig etc.. until they put me on generics. OMG! I had ALL side effects!  Went back to brand & all went away. Major side effect from metformin! vs Glucophage. Anyhow, maybe something similar to these morphine's? I Called Roxanne Westward & they said (CS rep) not that she knew of but not sure. She had to ask.. I wasn't allowed to directly talk with anyone else. So question, has anyone else had this happen?

Some generics contain different fillers which can sometimes make it feel less effective.
A few things in your post are rather concerning, taking as many of your breakthrough meds in such a short time could easily cause an overdose. So can doubling up the fentanyl patches.
NO patient should EVER do either with a prescribed opiate UNLESS and until you have gotten your PM doctors permission first.
Should you be called in for a pill count or tested for levels and the correct opiates in your system, you would fail.
That would get you dismissed from pain management, likely have all your doctors and pharmacists, insurance company notified, which would make it extremely difficult for you to get opiates prescribed anywhere..
