7 years of chronic testicular pain/groin

The pain started in oct. 2002 in the testicals. When it started it was both testicals(felt like got hit or kicked down their)then moved to crease of groin as well.months later the pain went to hips then down legs.My guess is that my legs and hips hurt from compensating my ball pain? When the doctors lightly touch the lower crease of groin i jump off table.psoas and iliopsoas muscles feel brused 24/7.(by the way I cant spell well)I write this at work with an ice pack hiddin in my shorts.Doctors have tested and tested probed poked and to no evail I do have peace in life ,but indeed chronic pain.I am in the process of a electronic spinal stem.I understand its not the fix all of pain.Right now I am taking 120 avinza, soma, codine etc.Even if pain docs. could take 100% of pain away,I would still want to know WHY! With 3 children and a frustrated wife and a physical job its hard not to have anxiety as to how much can I take, and how much longer can i take this pain and work. When my 3 year old boy wants to wrestle when i get home from a 10 hr. day,of course im going to play.My love for the family overcomes the pain ...but...I will pay for it big time physically.talk about a rock and a hard place.Yes iv been to mayos clinic, and everything else i know to do. I wish I had a urologist as a friend! Its been years sence my last testing and this winter when business slows down I might just start over...And again by Gods grace I do have peace

Hello bill, i started off with the diagnosis of epyditimitis, till they told me it would only last one year. so they had to go back to ''Were not sure". Dont settle for that answer answer.Ask what exactly is epyditimitis and google it up.It seems to be a pain  in that area , that their not sure why,but it is a name. Mine both hurt from the git go,and they did offer to take one off. But what one, they both hurt (badly) they said I could choose? And if I did, the pain still might stay.after years somebody on here mentioned " Pundendal nerve entrapment" I had never herd of it so I reserched it.It sounded just like me.I dont know if it is,but I do  believe its a nerve problem.Their can be problems after a vascetomy, but it sounds fishy in that you already had problems down their.I would reaserch alot an your own, and talk to lots of people on the internet. Your efort is very important.I hope you have great docs. But they do half to go on to the next patient. Their are people in the med. field here and other sites.I would be more than happy to talk any time (***@****) Dont ever give up looking I know their is no worse pain for a male.Pain meds helped me but over the years but at times the strongest morphine was not helpful.I literualy Will pray thats not the case for you.I try and keep my thought life under control (I try to line up my thoughts with the bible the spirit). If you can keep your emotions under control, your decisions will clear up your actions.Kenneth m renney is the pne expert in texas. Im in TN. and waiting till oct.8 for a 15min. phone conversation w/him. Its taken a lot of work just to get to that point.Way to much about me ,sorry. My point ,to get answers do what ever it takes.God bless you bill

Hello and welcome to MH. This is a text book example of what my Husband went through for years until he was actually diagnosed with a Double Herniated Groin injury and on top of that he has an Enlarged Prostate that tends to get painful and make him urinate quite often.

Does this sound anything like what your going through? I will tell you that it took a long time with many Dr. visitsfor them to diagnose him.

At this point in his life, he is feeling better but not "normal" like he did years back.

I certianly hope you can resolve your issue and not have to live your life this way.

Please take care and good luck in the future..........

Hi Ffletch,

I cannot express to you how sorry I am you are having such horrid pain. It sounds like you have done the gamete. And no answers!!! It must be extremely frustrating, I can hear it in your post.

I wish I had some good advice for you. I just don't. I agree with you and do believe you should start over from square one. Fresh eyes, repeat tests and some thinking out of the box may come up with some answers. What do you have to lose at this point.

Maybe there are no reasons. I certainly hope that is not the case. But if that is the case than I recommend a pain physcologist to help you deal with the pain issues and the stress it puts in your life. And maybe that would be a good idea now instead of waiting. You have good reason to be stressed.

We are here for you. Please feel free to PM me or post at any time. Hang in there and take care of yourself. Tuck
