Lidoderm Patch

Just wondering if many on here have tried the Lidoderm patch?  I have actually found it to help take off the sharp edges of pain in my back.  I guess some insurances per my doc are kinda against it for anything other then for shingle pain, but my insurance did approve it for my chronic back pain.

I use the lidoderm patch every night. I cut it into 3 pieces, or more, depending on where all I hurt. They help more than I thought at first.I put them on my pressure points of where my pain is. Never leave them on more than 12 hours though. Good luck

I do use the lidoderm patches and they help me. I do not use them all the time but I do when I have a bad pain day.
I am glad they seem to be helping you:)

Yes I am on Fentenyl patches which I'm currently weaning off of, Vicodin for break through pain, Zanaflex for spasms and withdrawal symptoms from the fentenyl, and I have it here but havent started Altram(sp).  The lidoderm dosn't give total relief but it does take away some of the very sharp pain (what can be a 10/10 scale goes down to about a 8/10). I was surprized that it did work considering I had tried those hot/cold patches and they didnt work and I thought it would work like they do.

I just got some of these the other day for back pain and I agree with NoMo- they have done NOTHING for pain. I have a herniated disc so pretty much nothing can get to it that way. Glad to hear that it's helping you with your pain though!

My Dr tried me on these for the nerve type pain I have in both lower extremities. It did NOTHING for me sadly. It was worth the try because you never know until you do try I guess.

Ive never tried it for back pain but would give it a shot. Are you not on any other meds to help ease your pain though?
