Hi Sunflower:
It must be horrible to have to deal with these types of headaches on a daily basis. Pituitary Gland Tumors are generally non-life threatening but do need attention and most likely from a surgeon. Most often, Migraines accompany these tumors as I'm sure your Neurologist has explained this to you. I have included some information that might be of interest to you.

Non-functioning adenoma
While some tumors of the pituitary are troublesome because they secrete too many hormones that upset the balance of good health, other tumors of the pituitary do not secrete hormones. Instead, they cause health problems because of their size and location. A non-functioning adenoma is one example.
This nonfunctioning adenoma may cause headaches and vision problems. This type of pituitary gland tumor also may cause hyposecretion, so the pituitary does not produce enough of the hormones necessary for good health. A non-functioning adenoma often is found when doctors obtain an MRI after a head injury or for some other reason. The symptoms of non-functioning adenomas fall into two categories - tumor mass effects or hyposecretion effects.
Tumor mass effects
Visual field disturbances, most commonly loss of peripheral vision, at the edges of your vision range
Headaches
Abnormal control of eye movements
Again, I'm sorry that your suffering with these daily migraines. I hope this information was of some help to you. Please take care.

I typed Nov. 2008 and I posted this on Oct. 2008? Gee, haha. Its 2007, not 2008. My typo. :p
I do have history with migraines - I have had migraines since 2005. No, I don't have sinusitis. No allergies. Migraines just came back later on that day that's why.
I learned more and it is tumor, not cyst. I have pituitary tumor. That's what it is called when my neuro dr mentioned "pituitary gland", same thing.
In fact, I have had migraines three days in a row this week. Arrgh! I so hate migraines.
Hi Sunflower,
I am sorry you are having migraines. They can be horrid. Do you have or have you had sinusitis? When ppl (including myself) have a bad allergy response or have sinusitis it is not unusual to have severe headaches with the pounding that you describe when bending over. And it is not unusual to have the temple pain.
I'm sorry I cannot tell you if this is the cyst or tumor on your brain causing the pain or not. Many ppl have cysts through out their body with no symptoms at all. Most are benign and will disappear or be absorbed by the body on their own. It is certainly something you should discus with your physician.
I';m sorry I'm not more help to you. If you do not have a history of migraines, sinusitis or severe allergies I would not hesitate to contact Urgent Care until you do have a PCP. I hope you will soon be feeling better. Keep us posted and as always, Take Care, Tuck
I want to be clear.... I did get bad throbbing and painful on temples this morning, but it was gone after I woke up. Hope that make sense.
