Injections can help reduce inflammation and swelling, thereby reducing pain. Stinging is typically nerve related pain. Opiates don’t really work well on nerve related pain.
Radio frequency ablation can reduce the pain in many patients.
Epidurals help some but mine in severe enough that I also take Lyrica for nerve pain. Also physical therapy helps, look for myofacial release.
I have, it didn't work for me. Maybe because I have spinal nerve root damage and a cyst at C-7 and something possibly ankylosis at T-1. That's where they tried the ablation at.
Spine's are so complicated. It may work for your pain :) Hang in there, it sucks.
Good vibes, hopefully. Let us know.
How long have you had the pain issue? Have you gotten the injection yet? Wondering if it helped! Come back and update.
