New here with thoracic spine pain...burning pinch.

THORACIC EPIDURAL INJECTIONS, any positive or negative experiences with them to aleviate the pain?
It gets old taking 3 10/325 norco every day for the last year and a half.
Thank you in advance and hello,
John

Injections can help reduce inflammation and swelling, thereby reducing pain. Stinging is typically nerve related pain. Opiates don’t really work well on nerve related pain.
Radio frequency ablation can reduce the pain in many patients.

Thank you for the response.

Epidurals help some but mine in severe enough that I also take Lyrica for nerve pain. Also physical therapy helps, look for myofacial release.

Have you tried the ablation spoken about above?
Avatar universal
I have, it didn't work for me.  Maybe because I have spinal nerve root damage and a cyst at C-7 and something possibly ankylosis at T-1. That's where they tried the ablation at.

I am going to the orthopedic surgeon next week to see what he says?
Thank you all
I really hope you find out something positive at the ortho next week.  Come back and let us know.  Spines are definitely complicated.  Are you debilitated or functioning pretty well?
