OXYCONTIN AND THE DEA

I have been told by my pharmacist that you can now leagally obtain three written prescriptions again that are post dated and therefore you don't have to go back to the dr for 3 months at a time. has anyone here been able to take advantage of this?

Yes my doctor gives me three months of all my meds as long as I am just there for refills and not to change anything.  I am on oxcodone for breakthrough and just switched from Fentanyl to Oxycontin for my time release.  Everything else fills through my mail in pharmacy in three month supply.  Get a pain management doc!!!!

Are you seeing a pain management doctor or a general doctor. You should have a pain management doctor, he/she will be able to help with your pain on a much better scale than a general doc can.

I have to be honest with you I have not taken pure oxycontin, however I have taken percocet 7.5/350 and have not had to return to my dr. Now maybe it is different for pure oxycontin. Now my dr is putting my on Kadian and I don't really feel that I will have problems getting it. Now that is my dr. maybe I am wrong
