The "missing piece" to similar stories is that the opiate restriction was issued as part of a plea bargain. The time to have introduced medical evidence that the medication was required was at that time. Once the agreement is signed and witnessed, the person on the restriction cannot use opiates without a motion to the court which is approved.
i wad on lortab for 12 years, but the last 2 years i got really bad on them, i was up to 20+ a day...but up one day i decided to quit...i didnt use a dr. nor rehab.. i done it all by myself...it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be...i was alittle irritable, and i had rls.....but by the third or forth day i started feeling better...for the record ive had 3 back operations...once the symtoms went away..i felt so much better...my point is you may think their helping you, but their not...once i quit my life was so much better...bc finally i out other stuff before pain pills...they do more harm than good.
Also the Judge cannot tell anyone that they are not allowed to be given any medication the doctor feels is nessasary to be on ,the only thing a judge can overide a dr.s orders is if this med has something to do with the nature of whatever the reason for being in front of a Judge?
NO there is no problem stopping hydrocodne if only taken for a year or less,But i am almost possitive you will go through some days of moderate to severe withdrawel sickness (possibly the latter)it ***** but after about 5-7 days you'll feel a whole lot better! I was on 120mg a day of methadone for serious pain issues for just under 12 years than was switched to 300 mg a day of MSContin in between did'nt get to sick so I would not worry think 2 weeks then its all over!!!
cheers
I don't understand. Why does the judge want you off them. Most judges defer to the doctor regarding meds. I think you need to give a little more info on what's going on.
That depends on the dose. In the doses normally prescribed there should be no fatal problems but you will be very uncomfortable and feel crummy. As far as a cast goes, you really need to see an orthopedist for an current x-ray and evaluation. There is a window of opportunity for mending that shouldn't be missed.
