Pain all over body

I have pain all over my body; sharp stabbing pain that comes and goes. Forster in my head, then my chest, my back, sides, stomach. Inhave been to the doctor numerous times. I have had treadmill tests, ekg's, even a heart cat. No blockage, nor explanation for the pain. The last treadmill test the doctor sent me to a specialist who hooked me up to a mask to breath into. When the test was over he said "I don't know what is causing your pain, but I can guarantee you it's not your heart. My last doctor said it was skeletal muscular in nature. It can feel that way though sometimes it feels like nerves firing off. I think my doctor was frustrated and suggested maybe I had phybromyalgia (sp?). So currently I'm just putting up with it. Can anyone help? Please?

Hello Likawk,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. Please excuse my tardy response. I am glad that you found us and took the time to post. I assume because of the Labor day weekend our members are involved with family commitments, hence the lack of replies. But believe me we all can relate and we all care.

I think that indeed you are labeled with CP. It's okay, there are a lot of good ppl that have chronic pain. There are also some very good physicians that will help you find a causation of your symptoms. So don't give up just because a few couldn't come up with anything but guesses. Please keep looking!!

Have you seen a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy)? Have you consulted a good neurologist as well as a good Rheumatologist? I would put them on your list of "must sees." Please don't be discouraged. Be assertive and don't take I don't know for an answer.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. We are here to support you and offer suggestions and information. I wish you the very best and hope to hear from you again soon.

Take Care,
~Tuck

It's been happening for years, though the "pin point nerve type pain" is very recent

how long has this been going on?
your gonna hate this! when you got pain for more then a couple weeks it's considered "CP",
as in "chronic pain",this is where you might start hating this, once your sheet has that "stigma" written in bold under diagnosis, its not gonna be easy to change it. basically like the joke goes "if you started something you cant finish, destroy all evidence youv ever started"
allot of Dr's dont wanna pick up a sheet that has those letter's.
you can go on with something like "NCS" for a years, but have "CP", so there's no point looking (thats if you an idiot lazy overworked ER Dr, but i'm sure there are some really cool ones out there who wan to pick up that sheet).
i know this dosen't really help you much, sorry if writing this was more to help me.
good luck.
i do hope the right Dr picks up your sheet.
