Pain with Buerger's Disease

I am in need of advise of pain management!!  I have ulcers that will not heal and it is possible that I may lose some digits/toes.  I had a transplant done to save my right hand and have quit smoking a year ago.  I am on several blood thinners/channel blockers, etc.  I've been eating greens and protein and lost about 20 lbs.  I have also been in the gym struggling to save myself from amputation!  I am excited to see things getting better but am open to more info please!

I am sorry that you are experiencing the level of pain you are. I would suggest you speaking with your Dr in detail about what you are experiencing and let him/her decide which med is best suited to treating your ailments. I am a chronic pain patient and know more about what meds are used to treat spine issues that then lead to long term chronic pain.
There may be others on this forum that have experience with what you are describing.
I hope and pray you get the help that you need.
Please keep us up to speed on what you decide.
Brian.

Hello Chris,

It sounds like you are doing a lot of the right things. I'm guessing that you may be dealing with diabetes? If so are your blood sugars well controlled? If they are not that would be a significant contributing factor. However as well you are doing in the other areas you probably are right on that also. Or this this just a circulatory issue?

I don't think you are asking about medication, am I missing something? If you asking what else you can do to improve your circulatory issues and heal your ulcers. Has your physician tried oxygen therapy? I have seen some great results with this approach. Some physicians beleive in this treatment and others do not.

It also never hurts to get a second opinion. It appears as if your physician is leading you down the right path but sometimes that second opinion can add some new light.

I am sorry that you are struggling with these frightening issues. I hopeful that all your hardy efforts will pay off. Please let us know how you are doing. I will look forward to your updates.
Best of luck and take care,
Tuck
