I was so shocked! I hope it's not! I feel good now. I cannot feel anything. This thingy happens to me very often. Maybe once/twice a year. I can't say so because it's really not normal. I wanna share this to you guys that I have this bone failure near my heart. (I think it's part of the ribs on the left one.) I discovered this 4 or 5 years ago. I went to different doctors already, and I just had the recent one this year which was a general check up but it all resulted to NORMAL. I remember my doctors asked me if I had encountered any accident when I was young because the it's like a broken one that's why it's not as the same as the right part. I said I cannot remember, my mother can't even remember too. So this is what I'm thinking now. Maybe this bone failure is the reason because it's near my heart... WHAT DO YOU THINK GUYS???

I agree with designgyrl0112,
I had bronchitis and also pleurisy several times. It sounds much like that. leurisy or imflammation inbetween it the ribs. It is caused by an infection usually a bacteria called Mycoplasma pneumoniae or sometimes Chlamdia pneumoniae. Do you have a dry cough yet? They call it ""walking pneumonia."The doctor can tell by listening to your heart and lungs. Fluid gets into the lining between the ribs and causes sharp pain when you breath. Heat packs help but it won't go away usually without antibiotics as you have a fever too. So, off to the doctor. You will feel the better for it. sometimes it takes a while even with antibiotics to go away. But heat does help.

I also agree with Jaded, you need to go to the doctor. The fever and pain concern me. It also could be pleurisy but I'm not sure that you would have a fever with pleurisy. I had it once and it was very painful, it hurt to even breathe. They had to hospitalize me to make sure my heart rhythm was ok and kept me overnight for pain control. But I definitely think you need to be looked at and maybe have some xrays, blood work, and anything else the doctor feels is necessary to get you feeling better. I'm sorry your feeling so terrible but having pain in your chest is definitely a reason to go to the doctor. Please let us know what the doctor says and keep posting.
It sounds like it could be pneumonia. I have had it a couple of times and in general I get pain in my chest somewhere that isn't always constant. It can also make you exhausted just doing normal things.
I think you should definetly get in and see your doctor.
