Yes, even though the symptoms "feel" like the those of two years ago, you may be experiencing something entirely unrelated.

Please go to your primary care doctor for an examination and diagnosis.

Two years after double hernia surgery, I am experiencing a burning pain similar to the pain I had prior to surgery, although more mild and intermittent. I have cut down on sit ups and other exercising, hoping that is the problem, although it hasn't helped(yet).  Any suggestions?

Hello,

Welcome to MedHelp's Pain Management Forum. Have you had this pain since the surgery or is this new?  If new how long has this been going on? Did you lift something heavy or do exercise or activities out of the ordinary?

If this is new you may have a failed mesh implant. It could also be some adhesion pain. Do you have a bulge in the area? Is this similar to the discomfort you had prior to surgery?

Have you consulted your PCP? If not please do. A referral to a surgeon maybe appropriate.

I wish you well and hope that you will keep in touch with us.

Best of Luck,
~Tuck
