Jade,
I know with my walmart (I work there) if they don't have a certain med they will order it for me if I don't need it right away. They have done that for me in the past. But I don't use walmart anymore cause they have messed up to much with my meds, I had some called in (not pain meds) and I kept going back cause my doctor said it could take up to 24 hours for them to get it so I check for a few days and I was very sick and needed the pills and the last time I checked they still didn't have it so I told them nevermind they get it to cancel it and I called my dr and told her and she called it in somewhere else and I got it in a hour.
With my insurance it really depends on the pills but with my sons breathing treatments they are $8.01 and my insurance only pays a penny that is it, that really made me mad so I told them to not charge my insurance so I could use my discount card and it took off $.80 so I save more using the discount card then what my insurance pays.

Sandee, I just called my CVS here in AZ and found out that 120 - 30 mg Oxycodone here is 167.00.
Do you think that this has been done according to what State you are in.
Could it have ANYTHING to do with the "Pill Mills" and trying to DISCOURAGE the people that use the "Pill Mills" to not choose Oxycodone? And it ALSO then affected the legitimate CP Patients ALSO? As this type of thing ALWAYS seems to do?
Can you order from a Pharmacy out-of-state and have them shipped to you? I'm just trying to come up with some ideas that might put it back into a reasonable price range for you. :)
Unbelievable what is happening with the pills these days.....Sherry
When I used Walgreen's they always put the savings that Medicare saved me on each drug. Unfortunately, CVS doesn't do that. I only know that I reached the Catastrophic level 2 months EARLIER than I ever have before so I KNOW that the Fentanyl Patches play a part in that but my guess is that the rise in the cost of the Percocet accounts for the rest of it.
I just can't believe that this has happened. ...Sherry
I went to the site and it said Wal-Mart and Publix have it for $66.75 (the price given for every single pharmacy) The thing is that when I have gone to Wal-Mart and Publix they tell me they don't have it. So I am wondering if that site is going off real prices or general before-the-shortage prices, or just a general price from around the country.
I may look into it. I have just usually found that these pharmacy treks can be exhausting and lead to nothing, because I can't call the pharmacies around here, they aren't allowed to tell you over the phone whether they have it or not. So I have to drive to each one, walk into the pharmacy, wait while the tech brings it to the pharmacist, and then have each one come back and tell me they don't.
I've been wanting to switch from the one I'm on for a while because of this problem, I guess now is the time to do it.
There are a couple that can get the Zofran and then make the tablets at a cut price but it wasn't honestly enough to go thru the trouble.
Also they have to alter the medicine because of patents and trademarks so they add things like vitamins to the medicine.
She could check in her area and different drugs have different cost.
I was surprised that it was not much cheaper!
I will fill my next prescription with compazine and see if it helps as it is cheaper.
Hi Sandee,
I might have missed it, what did you find out about the compounding pharmacies in your area.
I'm wondering if that might be of any benefit to JadedSweetheart?
Thanks....Sherry
