Will my dr see me?

Hello. Almost a year ago I was seeing my doctor for back and neck pain due to fibromyalgia. I was on many medications for treatment. Lexapro for depression, Vicodin for pain, flexiral for muscle spasm, and naproxsn for pain. somewhere in the middle of my treatment i had to have a root canal done. afterwards the dentist perscribed me penecillin and vicodin. i filled the perscription. when the pharmacist asked if i had insurence i said yes and when i opened my wallet to search for the card i discovered it wasnt in there so i looked at her and sighed and said no never mind. so i was charged and recieved my perscriptions. i didnt need to extra vicodin so i thought so i just threw it in the bathroom cabinet. the next time i called my clinic for a refill of my pain medication it took them all day to call me back. when they finally did they said they checked the local pharms and said that i had received extra vicodin and then insisted that i must get off of them and hencforth refered me to physical therapy. i went to one apt which cost me more than i could afford. the therapist said i should go back to my dr and explain what happened. honestly im too scared to call. after that day i stopped recieving all of my meds. i dont know what to do. im in pain all the time and just depressed now.

Maybe it's time to find another doctor?  Look at your insurance to see where you're available to go.  It doesn't hurt to try.  They maybe able to help you.  I can't imagine going through chronic pain without any help, especially with how bad my neck pain is.  We all make mistakes and then we learn from them.  I have anxiety too, especially when it comes to doctors.  I'm surprised I don't have panic attacks before my appointments.  I really do wish you the best.  I pray you find someone to help you.  Good luck.

I would suggest making an appointment and speak to your doctor and just be honest!
Honesty is the key. If the doctor still refuses to see you then it is time to look for another doctor.
I do wish you luck. Remeber when gettting narcotics you can only get them from one dcotor.

yikes!! so sorry!  I totally feel your pain.  My PM Dr. would also absolutely discharge for the same reason.
Did you sign any kind of pain contract?  It (unfortunately) states in the contract that youre not allowed to accept any other narcotic prescription from any other Dr.'s
I would still try to explain the situation to your Dr.....it cant hurt to try at this point.

Good Luck!

Good luck.  I have no idea.  You will never find out unless you try.  I would tell them the whole story and be honest.  I'm surprised that your doctor called the pharmacy.  Usually it's the pain clinics who call in the pharmacy to do these check ups.

unfortunatly i do not have it anymore eventually i took them bc i was unable to receive more from my dr. the problem is that theres another element to my story. a week before i called for my refill i noticed that many of my vicodn were missing. i did the math and concluded that someone had to have taken some. i was scared to call my doctors office to ask for more so early bc i didnt want them to get the wrong idea. then being the idiot that i am i decided it would be safer to see if my dentist would give me more so i requested a small refill. i received it in the same manner as i did before thinking that way my clinic wouldnt question me about a very early refill. i now know who took them but i cant prove it bc it was so long ago.

Hello:

You MUST go back to your Doctors office and explain the situation. It most likely sounded like you were Doctor shopping and getting 2 different prescriptions.

Do you still have the prescription in the cabinet? Take it with you to the Doctors visit..

Most Doctors understand tooth pain and porceedures and will not question it. It doesn't hurt to try and explain. You might want to see if you can't find a nice Pain Management Clinic that will help you with your pain on a much better level.

My best,
Mollyrae
