RLS/Requip - leg pain getting worse

I started taking Requip last year for RLS.  I just happen to mention to my doctor that I had leg pain during the night.  She had given me a trial pack but left it at home when I went to my daughters for the weekend.  I had only been taking it a few days and when I didn't have it to take I thought i was dying.  It is like I am addited to this drug.  I can't come off of it.  I have started having shooting pains in my legs and find that I am having to take it more often.  I am sleepy, my skin has changed, I have flakey scalp which I never used to have and this shooting pain in generally in my left leg but sometime both.  I have also been having stiffness in my right shoulder.  Has anyone had simular effects?

Jennifer819 is right.  There are other medicines that may help you even better than the requip.  My husband was on it for a while when he bagan to have strange leg sensations but it just didnt seem to work for him. His problems were actually lymes disease so that may have been why, but I took ultram years ago in the beginning of my abdominal symptoms and for a while it did a great job of lessing my symptoms! I grew a tolerance to it after a long while but so many people have found great benifit from it for so many differnt kinds of pain and conditions.
Please dont ever tolerate side effects or feeling from a medication if they make you uncomfortable. Tell your Doc asap, they defenitly wouldnt want you taking it if thats happening.

Be well and good luck:)

A couple of years ago I was taking requip and after awhile I started having symptoms just like yours. After doing some research on this drug I found out that it can actually make your symptoms worse. My doctor put me on Ultram and it really helps with the RLS and my lower leg pain. Please talk to your doctor. These symptoms you are having are not right.
