Rectal spasm after colonoscopy?

Hi, all.  I am having an adverse reaction to a colonoscopy (or prep) I had in early December.  I am having painful rectal and colon spasms that are being described as an impartial prolapse.  I have never had straining or pressure like this until the prep, which turned me inside out.
Has anyone had this experience?
The doctor wants to run a pelvic MRI on me and have me see a physical therapist.  I will do anything to make this stop, it hurts, I'm sore and it's scary.
Many thanks...

Hello Veejerunit7:

Yes, I suffered three days of post-colonoscopy rectal spasms; severe, deep stabbing rectal contractions. I had to miss work. I would rather die than live through another post colonoscopy fallout. In addition, I now experience this pain on a daily bases but thank God it's not the same intensity as post-colonoscopy.  My multiple food allergy and intolerance has greatly increased...causing this awful, life altering pain.
