Tramadol withdrawal

Considering my last question received zero response I am going to reword it slightly as the answer is of interest. I am looking to stop taking tramadol which I have cut down dramatically. The problems I have occured so far has been a resurgence of the problems, to a degree, that I took the drug to mask in the first place. Looking on the internet a lot of people claim withdrawal from the drug is a nightmare. This I have not experienced so far and I am wondering if this is something that I might still experience or what people who contribute to sources on the internet exaggerate for there own personal reasons.

Are you on the regular version...as in the short acting one. Or the Tramadol ER (Extended release)?

If you are on the ER...then you CANNOT cut these in half. But you can easily move to the 50mg dosage of the regular (short acting)Tramadol...and go to the 50mg for a few days or a week....then split it in half for a few days or a week...then 1/4s...then  none.

Of course doing all of this with your Drs. knowledge and help.

But if it's not helping you at all, then yes, there is no sense taking a medication.

Ooops sorry just re-read your post and you asked when was your last dose and not what. I take a dose every morning including this morning.

I am taking 100mg a day in one dose and I am not experiencing any problems except possibly a resurgence of the original medical condition, although after taking the drug for 15 months I didn't think there was any positive effect, which is why I am stopping it.

Hi there..

I was on Tramadol for close to a year and didn't have a single issue tapering down and going off it. I think it all depends on the person..the dosage...their other medical issues...etc.

When was your last dose?
