Tripped & Landed on Knees again!

I tripped and fell the other day and landed on my knees again!  I'm in my mid-50's and have been doing TRX for over 90 days.  My knees bruised slightly but the back my legs behind my knee is causing me to have pain; it feels like the vein is sore and the left is slightly swollen.  I iced it before my last TRX class and it felt so much better but I wonder if I should continue with my exercise?  Is there something that I can do to make it better? I don't have medical insurance

hi nancy and i don't think the dr/ read the part about insurance so i will say that the key when exercising (especially if new or if you are a little too over-zealous ) is if there is pain when doing it or if it causes ongoing pain after is to STOP doing it for a while and then start up again slowly.  No pain no gain is huge BS---
a lot of people pay money and then try to get their money's worth by overdoing it.
Ok nancy--0-gentle stretches---hot tub----be nice to your body.   and welcome   omhome

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there,
The exact location of your knee pain can help your doctor determine the nature and severity of your injury. A deformed and swollen knee may indicate a fracture or internal ligament tear. See an orthopaedician. He will examine you and determine if X-rays are needed or not. Take some over the counter analgesic. That may help. Do write to me again with more details.
Best luck and regards
