I'm so so sorry I meant substance abuse forum not drug abuse forum, I should have double checked the name before I posted and I apologize if my mistake made my response seem harsh, that was not my intent. Again I'm really sorry.
There is a wonderful Drug Abuse forum that is really better equipped to help you both with what to expect from withdrawls. This by no means is me saying that you both are drug addicts, MmMickey was on them for pain and I'm not sure why Lala was but I'm sure you both want answers and to talk to people who have gone thorugh what you are going through right now. On this forum we talk about chronic pain and ways to deal and what others have done and we get advice on those types of issues. This site welcomes anyone and I personally hope, if you need/want to, stick around and post with us for chronic pain issues but for right now. to get you both the best possible care and advice for getting off pain meds you should really post on the Drug Abuse Forum as well.
Best of luck, I know you can both do it . Let us know about the pain you were in to begin with and maybe we can help with that as opposed to symptoms of withdrawl.

Hi, my boyfriend is threatening to leave me if i take one more oxy, and ive gone 5 days without and i couldnt take the withdrawls anymore and so i got a half of one. He just does not understand what i feel like, i truly want to die. He tells me im not sick, its all in my head. I dont know what to do, I can't lose him, but at the same time, me being sick all the time is ruining our relationship. Im so confused. What helps with the withdrawls and do i just stop cold turkey?
fell from a horse and got an impingment in rt shoulder and vertabra in neck pushing on spinal cord. I have been in phyisical therapy for many years and started seeing a chiropractor so I have went from chronic pain until 3mos ago down to managable with advil. had a supply of pills so started on them again.
Hi Mnmickey,
Why are you taking the oxycontin? Do you have chronic pain?
There is a wonderful substance abuse community here at Med help. they can help you much more as far as the symptoms you will have and how long and maybe suggest ways to help you.
You are welcome here as well too. I would like to know if your having pain issues and what is causing your pain though so we can help you more. I look forward to hearing from you:)
