Unknown Pain (Electric / Burning / Numb)

I am getting a wierd pain in my upper right thigh it changes in cycles, at first its usually like a fire / burning sensation on my thigh then eventually switches to a electric type of feeling evetuallly it goes away and is numb. Well the entire time it is numb like its a sleeping leg or somthing but alot more painful. It does eventually go away although I am afraid of possible problems, especially with people worrying about my weight and such I am 16 and 320LBS I do workout reguarly I am an athelete I play football and do used to wrestle for my HS I am generally a healthy person from docs, and I have a decent heart rate although due to people pestering about my weight and this possiblity. I have no family I know of with Diabeties, i posted this to that forum as well to perhaps get results faster. Sorry for possibly being irrating but this is something I am worrying about, The symptons started about 2 days ago and continue every time I get home around 6 pm + when im in my bed, lieing down. I have gotten up while it was hurting and it didnt stop or anything. The first night experiancing this it hurt extremely bad especially the electric phase and when i bring my knee to my body. Any info/advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have yet to consult a doctor in person due to my fear of asking my parents for anything especially medical (grand huh) unless I get some dis concerning reports I will not see a doctor. Ill continue to research as much as i can further on this random pain and numbness else where intill I can find a solution or an diagnosis. Thank you or your time.

HI,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry that you are hurting. Please inform your parents of this problem. None of us nor can the Internet give you a diagnosis.

There are a multitude of issues that can be causing your pain, burning and numbness. The vertebra's in your spine are under great stress and pressure, especially when you play football due to your weight. I am sorry to bring up your weight but it is concerning for health issues and may be related to your symptoms.

Please have these issues evaluated by a physician. A medical problem left untreated you can result in permanent damage or complications. Your parents need to know about your symptoms.

Take care and feel free to let us know how you are doing.

Hello and welcome to the pain Forum.

I'm wondering if you're symptoms are coming from the excessive weigh that your legs carry. Only a Doctor can put your symptoms to rest. I would contact your clinic and make an appt., that's your best bet. Please take care and good luck,
