There are alot of options. Just talk with the doctor about the tylenol side effects. It's a common problem when one is on pain medications for longer than a simple procedure, ie: a month or so...

Look up cold water extraction it takes the Tylenol out so you don't hurt your liver or get sick. It's very simple and tastes horrible but it's much better for you because that much Tylenol WILL cause severe liver damage over time. Also NEVER take Vicodin with any other meds containing acetaminophen such as Tylenol , Midol etc... Always check the ingredients. Not o is another option and it has 325 mg of Tylenol instead of either 500 or 750. It's stronger and won't do as much damage. Hope it helps!

Thank you all so much for taking the time to respond. I finally was able to switch my medication from 7.5/750 to 10/325. Not only does it have less tylonel it works alot better for my pain. However, I think the switch was too late. I spent the whole day in the ER with horrible abdomenal pain. I thought I had hurt my liver because I still have a bad taste in my mouth. Turns out it's just acid reflux! The doctor told me to take OTC pepcid just like you guys said too. I feel so much better and relieved.

Vicoprofen is 7.5 mg of hydrocodone with 200 mg of Advil.  No tylenol at all, and I find it works much better for me.  You can also take pepcid or zantac with your meds to help with the upset stomach.

How many do you take a day ? I have the same problem my doc put me on norco 7.5/325 it has less tylenol. With my problems it doesn't take much especilly if I overindulge to make me sick from the tylenol. I'd bet that's what's happening with you.

Oxycodone depending on what type DOES have tylenol the brands  that don't are
Roxycode and oxycontin.
Oxycodone comes as percocet also and is just like the forms of hydrocodone
10/325, 10/500, 10/650
The latter number representing how much (in Milligrams) tylenol is present

Most prescriptions in my area for percoset, roxycet, and oxycontin all show the name oxycodone but depending on which pill it says "generic for"

Example
Oxycodone : Generic for roxycodone or roxyset depending on how the pharmascist wries it up on the bottle.

The lowest amount of tylenol that I know of that comes with hydrocodone would be in Norco tablets.  They contain 10mg of the hydrocodone and only 325mg of tylenol.  Maybe talk to your doctor about switching you to oxycodone instead?  Oxycodone comes in tablet form that's just pure oxycodone, it has no tylenol or acetaminophen in it at all.  It's stronger than hydrocodone, too, so the 5mg tablet (the smallest one they make) might even work as well for you as the 7.5mg vicodin.  If you are going to be in PM for a prolonged period of time, it might possibly be an option.  My PM doc is adamant that vicodin is NOT for long-term PM use, simply BECAUSE of all that tylenol and it's ability to adversely affect the liver.
