Why Do I keep forgetting obvious things and having headaches?

I have been forgetting little things lately and having headaches in addition to frequent thirst and urination.
I forget silly things like a friend's name(known her for 3 years),or the name of my usual moisturiser which I have used for 3 years.
I recently had an attack of typhoid but I finished the full course of the drugs?
What is wrong with me?i feel a bit concerned.Should I see a doc urgently?

Thanks

Memory loss or confusion or feeling "fuzzy", can be side effects of taking many medications or when discontinuing the use of meds. This particular side effect is surprisingly common, don't be afraid to make your Health Professional aware.

I have this too but I don't understand why,I'm 11 but my mum says it's just a headache and you can just blow it off.She won't let me go to the doctors -cuz I'm young- and I'm curious about my health,my headaches get worse and worse everyday and my memory is getting worse and worse.Anyone got any info about this?

I'm so VERY thrilled for you!! I was so concerned because you are so young and have everything ahead of you.

No you can work on getting your stress under control and I bet that your other symptoms will clear up.

Thank you Zinzi, I appreciate the kind words. Jean (French spelling for Gene) was a VERY special person and EVERYBODY loved him!! I lost him 13 years ago today!! It seems just like yesterday.

Best of Luck to you and I hope that you will continue to be a participating member on here and share your experiences with pain that you have had with the other members on here.

Yippee,I am clean
I went and saw a doc who requested blood sugar tests, they came out clean thank God!
She said I might just be stressed out and i need to exercise more and eat healthy.
That am going to do,I cant afford the consequences of not doing it.
Thanks for the support Sherry and am sorry to hear about your husband.

Cheers

I'm really glad that you are going to check that out. My husband had all of these same symptoms that you are having.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you won't have it. Since your Mum has it you know how important it is to take care of yourself. Unfortunately, sometimes no matter what we do we can't keep from getting something that is hereditary. However, you can certainly do something to be sure that you keep it under control.

Please let me know how your test goes. I'm hoping for the very best for you....Sherry

Im glad your going to get it checked out. My husbands dad has diabetes and my husbnad just had a test to see if he has it too. they can do blood work and it gives you a number of your avg blood sugar for the last 3 months. It would be a good idea to get it checked out.

I am sorry you are forgetting things. I would be calling your doctor to see if there is something to be worried about. Don't put it off, if anything it might make you feel better.

Hello Zinzi,

First i'd like to Welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let you know that we are pleased that you have joined the Forum. You need to know that there are NO Doctors on this Forum and they don't even monitor it. We are all CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other by sharing our own experiences with each other.

I'm very sorry for the problems that you have been experiencing lately with the Headaches, Frequent Thirst and Frequent Urination. Remember that I am NOT a Dr. but I would advise you to see a Dr. as soon as you can as these are classic symptoms for Diabetes. My husband suffered from diabetes from the time that he was in his late 'teens until his death when he was 52 years old.

Please don't put this off as this is a terribly debilitating disease and IF you do have this you need to get on top of it as soon as possible. Does Diabetes run in your Family? The diabetes can effect your arteries and blood vessels in your brain which can effect your memory and your headaches.

I hope that you will get back to us and give us an update as I'm quite concerned about you.

Best wishes.....Sherry
