about morphine pills

My  husband takes morphine pills and if he does not wash his hands after taking them, if he touches anything in the house can it be passed on to anyone if they touch what he has touch?  and can they have  a bad urine test?

Sorry I am five days late in response to your question. After reading it I couldn't help but reply. Channah provided you with correct information.

It's a good practice to wash your hands before and after taking any medications. That said even if one didn't wash there hands - the transfer of a dry opiate (pill form) or any dry medication would be next to impossible from hand to hard surface.

If you're talking about a liquid or gel medication that could adhere to one's hands than the possibility of transfer from hand to hard surface becomes possible. How much transfer is still very questionable. Enough for an adult person to test positive in a drug screen is pretty far fetched!! I find it highly questionable - and I believe most physicians would find it suspicious.
