Hi Cannybrit,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you found us but sorry to hear about your neck pain.

JHuxlet is correct. Some ppl find that acupuncture eases their pain. I also tried acupuncture. I found it extremely relaxing. I'm not sure it was effective for my pain but it was calming and it didn't hurt.

In my opinion it is worth a try. Please let us know what you decide and if it works for you. I'll look forward to your updates.

Take Care,
Tuck

Hi

I suffer chronic pain from an ankle injury. I have tried acupuncture to try and help with the pain - a mix of joint and ligament/soft tissue pain. I found it to offer some relief, sort of, I was never sure if it was just a case of the placebo effect. The guy I saw said that everyone is different and some get no relief whilst others get lots of relief from it. Best thing to do is to give it a go, I doubt it can do any harm and if it helps then yay! If you are in the UK you can sometimes get it on the NHS through a physio.
