thanks to all with advice yes I have had rehab on all occas even with this last op 2 weeks ago where the nerves that were causing some of the pain I have had oblation of the nerves done I do pool exercise and physio in a rehab place first inpatient for 2 weeks now outpatient for a month 3 days a week 2 hrs a day but still I have pain when I walk when sitting or lying down there is no pain at all but I cannot sit all day I need to walk
I don't know if it is scar tissue no one knows just a raw flesh pain - if someone falls an gets severe gravel rash and if someone came along with sand paper and rubbed the wound that would be the feeling I have - there are days I just don't want to be here I need this pain stopped
I will keep up the physio and pool work for the next month and the month after hopefully my health fund will allow this otherwise I will just pay it myself I will not stop if there is anything else I could do or if someone else has this problem or knows how to fix it please let me know you have all been so kind thank you
I've had abdominal and lumbar adhesions removed also. They do cause pain but in a joint it's a little different. They can cause a joint to 'freeze' so it's important to go thru physical therapy and not let the adhesions take over the motion you have in that joint.
I have the pain from adhesions as well, but mine are from a laparotomy and 2 laparoscopic surgeries in the abdominal area. Really not much I can do about them at least according to the surgeon I saw about 5 months ago for them. Yes I could have surgery again, but heck surgery is what created them....So a no win situation...for me.
I did have 2 knee surgeries and never got adhesions or scar tissue from either of them.
So you are having pain from the adhesions? I just want to make sure I understand correctly. Were you doing physical therapy after surgery? It is so important to work the joint after surgery so things like adhesions don't cause problems. If you haven't been to physical therapy I would ask to go. You need to try and get that knee more mobile. If you believe it's something more then adhesions I would strongly recommend a second opinion soon. I am sorry your having this trouble but I do hope it gets better for you.
