Hello Brandon,
I am sorry your back hurts. Pain is a horrible companion. Have they determined what is causing of your back pain?
If you are having soft tissue pain they often will not prescribe narcotics, especially if you are young. And that may be the reason for the other medications.
If you have a "pinched nerve" or spinal injury and your physician will not listen to you, fire him. Yes we hire these physicians to treat us. If your plumber did not do the job you hired him to do, what would you do? I hope you would not keep relying on him for your leaking facets....you would???? ....The correct answer is....Fire him. And physicians are no different than plumbers. Even though some have a God Complex.
So good luck to you and let us know how you are doing. Take care, Tuck
hi'
the doctor im seeing don't know what is causing my pain because he won't do a mri on my back i have to ask him to do x-rays because it had been 4-6 months of pain and he didn't try anything everything he has given me does not help me what so ever. all i know is i have chronic back pain. but thanks for helping
Tramacet, in a double blind study, showed just as affective as oxycodone as far as pain relief. I have tried codeine, hydrocodon and oxycodone and found that I personally respond best to tramacet. The only bugger about it is that the cost of tramacet is much higher than those of the others. Anyway, good luck. Also, try saunas, hot tubs or even a hot shower. They help me.
i suggest u to see other doctor since ur doctor wont do mri on ur back i know how that feel to be so pain on my lower back
