I am assuming the dentist gave you the Vicodin. The percocet is a bit stronger than the vicodin. I would go to the ER as they are usually very good about treating this kind of pain when you can't get into see your dentist.
Where are you getting the percocet? Is it from an older prescription?
I know toothache pain is the worst and hope you get some relief soon:)

I used to work for a dentist, and I remember him telling me that he read a study once or something that said that aside from child birth, a toothache is the most painful acute pain there is..

I wonder if whoever did that study, ever had a migraine? probably not!

And Blujax.......... I wonder of they ever had kidney stones or esophageal spasms??

NUATDIS,
I agree with Sandee. If you haven't gone to the ER I would certainly do so. They will advise you what to take and possibly provide you with a prescription.

Good luck. I know how painful a toothache can be. I hope you will soon be able to see your dentist.

I'm sorry aboujt your pain!!  I never had a toothache before, and I can imagine it's pretty painful, but it;s hard to imagine anything more painful than a migraine

I've found that ibuprofen + codeine to be okay for toothache as a stop-gap. Having had lower esophageal sphincter spasms so bad that it's been an ambulance trip to ER, I'd rate toothache at somewhat annoying by comparison, and a really shocking tension headache somewhere in between. And that's not to belittle anyone with a toothache - it's the waiting, waiting, waiting to get in to see the dentist, oh I hate that part too!

Truly, you have my sympathy;
Hope you get it sorted soon,

OtisDaMan

PS: good choice of handle.
