Dr switched me from 20mg percocet to hydromorphone 10 mg what is difference

Hydromorphone is stronger than Percocets but it seems like your doc offset that in the dosage. If you want to get off you should ask your doc for a taper plan.

I meant 4mg hydromorphone. I am in pain management and found percocet were making stomach hurt as I have ulcers. Had three major back surgeries in 2013. Both cervical and lumbar. Don't want to be on any meds. Fighting the pain as I heal

I thought 8 mg was the highest hydromorphone dose. Learn something new every day I guess

Hydromorphone is Dilaudid, which is a very powerful opioid medication.  Are you abusing your medications?  Do you take your minds as Rx'ed?  If so, this may be better suited for the pain management community.
