You are correct meds effect people different. I found a new gel today the Drug Emproium and will do a post on it. It has Cobra Venom in it, yes like in the snake and ya know what...IT WORKS, it took away ALL my pain and it was only $15.
I had a busy day today and was so glad to get home but still taking 4 hydromorphones today, I hope to either deal with this volume or eliminate them. I still have some energy but the diareaah kicked in today but that's about all as far as withdrawals. You are lucky you do have any symptoms when you get off your meds.
Percocet has the opposite effect for me. All pain medications make me very sick and I'm very limited to what I can take. I need to start very low and work my tolarence up. I only take them because the pain would be way off the charts if I did not. MS Contin has been the ONLY medicine to really take the edge off. I quit 90mgs of Oxycontin cold turkey and never had any withdrawals. I'm not worried about the withdrawals either with the MS Contin or the percocet when it's time to quit or change to something else. Plus, after being on Percoct for 3 solid years, it barely works.
I'm glad to hear you have your energy back. We are all effected differently with the medications. I wish I didn't have to take them, but with a permenet injured spinal cord in my neck, I'm dependant on taking the medications. I use to have more energy when I was a runner. I use to run 6 miles everyday. I terribly miss exercising. I still have the motivation, but I can't even walk anymore.
Well, I have cut the morphine sulfate off all together and and only did the hydromorphone today BUT the strange thing is I woke up this morning feeling great, I mean I had pain but hardly no witdrawals at all really weird. I agree you are what you eat but percocets do exactly that...they PERK you up so you are getting energy from them
Hydromorphone and Morphine are two different drugs all together. It's hard to tell which one is making you feel so unmotivated. I take Morphine Sulfate ER with 10mg percocet breakthrough and the only side effects I have are nightmares and constipation.
I eat really healthy. I eat oatmeal twice a day with chia seeds and I try and bike a few minutes a day. This gives me more energy then I can deal with. What you eat and your activity level can really impact the energy you have through out the day.
