dilaudid 8mg or percocet 5/325.

ive been taking 2 to 3 percocet 5/325 everyday twice or 3 times a day for about 3 years. my doc wants me to switch to dilaudid. im wondering which is stronger? if i was to take one percocet id probably be dissapointed, will i be disapointed with one dilaudid? im just curious because percocet has always worked for me, and i need stronger pain meds. so is dilaudid 8mg stronger than percocet 5/325? thanks.

ya man thanks, i just took a 12mg of dilaudid and im in way less pain than when i was taking 3 5mg oxycodone 4 times a day. i think this switch will be ok. i actually am smiling haha, ****** havent smiled in a while.

Dilaudid is a much stronger narcotic than oxycodone ( oxycodone is the narcotic ingredient in  percocet). Percocet is tylenol and oxycodone combined. I think you will have much better pain control with the dilaudid for sure.
