drug test negative ??

I have bad diabetic nueropathy and fibromyalgia along w lupus. Im on oxycodone 60mg a day and fentanyl patches 75mg every 3 days. I swear on the bible i have never missed 1 dose. My pcp doctor drug tested me and claims NO drugs were in my system ! She claims i broke the drug contract i signed and wont see me anymore. How is this possible ? I demanded a retest and was told no, the dr even suggested my caregiver was taking them or we were selling the stuff ! Im going thru withdraw now, alone with no weening just an abrupt stop cuz she wont refill the script and dont know where 2 turn. She already threatened 2 call the cops on me and notify whoever i find as my new pcp or pain dr that im either an addict or a criminal ! Im bed ridden and cant walk i swear im not out on sum corner peddling drugs. Any comments or suggestions ?

Hello and Welcome Gaga,

I am so very sorry to hear that this has happened to you. My heart goes out to you. I fear the UDT (Urinary Drug Test) every time I must take one - not because I don't take my meds as ordered - I certainly do -  but because of posts like yours. I do know that for whatever reason some UDT are not always accurate.

We live in an opiate-phobic climate. The drug abusers, diverters and addicts have ruined opiate therapy for ppl with real chronic pain that rely on opiate therapy to obtain some form of function.

There are no trials, no jury of your peers if you have a false positive or false negative UDT.  You are immediately judged as guilty and sentenced to suffer chronic pain for unknown and extended time periods.

The truth is UDT results, especially for Fentanyl can be difficult to read. It requires training and understanding to be read correctly. It also depends on which UDT is utilized. There fact that there is also Human Error is never considered.

Sadly there is no recourse. Taking a home drug test as suggested by someone is useless. Once the PMP - or Clinic has made their determination - guilty - they will never admit there could have been an error. You're out!

We have no rights. There is no fairness today. It is my sincere hope that some new, astute and compassionate attorney will take a case such as yours - and litigate our rights in court. Live in hope and die is despair - I pray that is not true in this situation.

What I do suggest is that you request your medical records asap - including all the UDT information/results. Begin a search for a new PMP regardless of what our PMP said. It may be difficult to find one - it may take a lot of time - but in time it's my hope you'll find a PMP.

I wish you well and hope to hear more from you. Hang in there my friend in pain. We're here to support you.

Best Wishes,
~Tuck

The same thing just happened to me. I am on the 12mcg patch and I just received a letter stating I violated the narcotic contract became all 3 of my drug tests came up mechanics for fentanyl. I am so outraged by this and I don't know what to do! My patches don't stick wel so I put medical tape over them. I can't stand that I did nothing wrong here and I am being treated horribly.

Go get a at home test and take it. Then show it to her or whoever runs the office.

I fact I would go as high up as possible at that office. That is insane. Wds from fentanyl are extreme and dangerous.

Can you go to the ER for help with the wds? They would do a to screen on you. Then they could send it to your doctor.
