hit in chest

Two days ago playing football with the kids my son landed on my chest with his elbow hitting me directly beneath my breast into my rib cage. He weighs about 40lbs. It hurts from my rib cage to my back. My nose started bleeding today for no reason. Could this be related to the hit that I took ? I am worried.

I second that. Go to the ER. There could be alot a different things going on there. The pain traveling from under the breastbone to the back is a serious indication of a problem that needs immediate medical attention.

Yes it could.  You may have cracked a rib or broke one. You should get to the dr's and get a x-ray done.  Or just skip the middle man and go to the ER that way you can get a x-ray done right away they won't make you wait.  I don't think you should wait.  I don't mean to scare you or anything i just don't think you should fool around with stuff in the chest area especially with a bleeding nose.  And if there is nothing wrong well at least you will know and you won't have the stress of worrying on your mind.  If you do go post back and and let us know what the outcome is.  Good luck and wish all the best.
