how does morphine sulphate compare to Fentanyl patches?

I have been in PM, since 2018, when a surgeon put a pedicle screw in my nerve roots, during a laminectomy.  PM doctors won't give me more than 120 MM's, even though my pain is nothing close to being controlled.  It is always a nine. I developed gluteal, thigh, buttock, and leg atrophy, after the surgery, and have never been given a diagnosis, although I've been to neurologists, rheumatologists, etc.  I also have a deformed spine as a result of the surgery, and have been to many doctors, but instead of helping, they won't say anything nice, because they protect the surgeon.  I need surgery for severe spinal stenosis, and I have been putting it off because most of my pain is in my anorectal area.  This is why I need more than 120 MM's.  I live in TN, but I saw a neurosurgeon, in GA. I also saw a pain mgmt. doctor just to see what he would say.  He told me I was in pain because I need a short acting medicine to go along with the Fentanyl.  He could not believe that I have not been able to get more than 120 MM's for eight long years. I told my PM NP what the doctor said. She gave me a choice of short of long acting, but not both.  Same old story.  She offered to give me morhine, and said it might work better.  I assumed she would be giving me an amount equal to 50 mcg Fentanyl every 72 rs. I don't think she did.  I appreciate the answers.  I am new to this site.
