Hi lily,

First I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. I want to let you know that there are NO Doctors on this Forum only CP  {Chronic Pain}  Patients that help each other with our OWN expertise and experiences that we have developed through our OWN CP Issues.

I hate to hear how you've been in relatively good health for most of your life and then all of a sudden it just startss to fall apart!!

If I were you, I'd start with your PCP {Family Doctor} and let him/her know what's happening with you and let them send you for tests OR to the specialist that would be the best for you.  I would imagine that possibly a Rheumatologist might be in line for you. ALSO, you MIGHT be looking at seeing a Neurologist.  It could be nerve related as your Carpal Tunnel was.

I HOPE that you will let us know how it turns out for you AND what your Doctor has to say about it!!

I wish you the VERY best and HOPE you get to feeling better VERY soon.

I'll be looking for your update..............Sherry  :)

thanks Sherry for your reply. I was thinking exactly the same thing, namely Rheumatologist (which i have seen and have got the injections and which did not seem to help very much) and i was thinking of a neurologist too. Will keep the forum updated.

Hi Shirley,

i just had a blood test which showed i have very high count of rheumatoid, mild gout and mild anemia. I am going to schedule an appointment with a rheumatologist probably next weekend and see what happens. My GP said my overall pain could be due to the rheumatoid acting up. Thank you so much for your advice. Much appreciated. Take care and God Bless

Hi Lily,

No problem with being called Shirley!  Actually, that's quite an honor as that was My Late Mother's name and she was an INCREDIBLE Lady!!  :)

I'm SO happy that you are going to see a rheumatologist!!  I TRULY believe that is the VERY best fit for you and will give you the VERY best chance in finding an ACCURATE diagnosis.

PLEASE let me know what you find out as I'm VERY worried about you and REALLY care about how you are doing!!

Know that you are in my thoughts and Prayers.

I'll be looking for your updates...............Sherry  :)
