Hi Edot,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry that you suffered a CVA. I hope you have good follow-up care including rehab. How long ago was your CVA?

There are several medications that help control spasms. I cannot tell you which one would be right for you. Much will depend on the other medications you are taking along with your general health condition.

There are meds that were originally developed for ppl with Parkinson's Disease that may be beneficial in your case. There are also muscle relaxants or anti-anxiety medications that may also be effective. Which one works best for you may very well have to be a trial and error directed by your physician.

I encourage you to discuss this with your physician. I am hopeful that there will be something that can ease your symptoms. I wish you the very best and hope you will keep in touch with us.

Take Care,
Tuck
