I defer to the opinions above, but it could maybe be a nerve issue involved with your teeth as well. I've had bad tooth pain that radiated up into my cheekbone and back to my ear before.
It could also be pain from the trigeminal nerve, especially if you notice the pain just on one side and it goes into the teeth. It can affect the upper and lower teeth or just upper or lower. Like Molly said, it could also be due to sinus pressure or sinus infection. Usually if it is a sinus headache, when you bend forward the pain will increase dramatically and you will feel a fullness in your head or face. It's always a good idea to have your PCP check it out to make sure it is not something serious.
Good luck and best wishes. Audrea
Hello maria:
There was another poster with similar head pain yesterday and as I told her, it may be sinus related. Headaches behind the ear are often the result of a sinus infection. I am not a Doctor and cannot diagnose you so I would recommend that you make an appt. with your Doctor if the pain does not go away soon and OTC medications are no longer helpful. Please take care and good luck.
