percacet

I have Spinal Stenosis throughout the spine, and Fibromyalgia along with other things I see a pain management Dr ( neurologist) since watson stopped making the percocet and now is replaced by Activas I have been having more problems and last month he said try it for 1 more month which I did so on Friday what he did was e - scripted 2 prescriptions 1 for the non - generic and one for the Activas. He said if the name brand doesn't work than he will okay the non-generic, Walgreens can't get a hold of the non-generic percocet so they just filled the Activas.  My question is I think I found a brand that I used to take from a different pharmacy and they could actually order the name brand for me but my problem is I already went through the insurance for the other one. Do you think if I called the insurance company and explain that it's giving me a reaction will they cover a second one or the real thing which they wouldn't do anyway but I've heard if you explain your situation to them they might cover it? I shouldn't of picked up the script from Walgreens but they had already filled it. I still haven't called my PM Dr and tell him about Walgreens not being able to get it and my insurance company not paying for it or should I just call him and have write another script for the brand that I used to take.

No, since you've filled your Rx, I think you should wait until the next month, and then try a different pharmacy.

Your doctor has the ability to write "do not substitute" on the Rx.Then the pharmacy will give you brand-name products.
