tight chest pains??

hey...so im a 15 year old girl, and lately ive had these AWFUL pains in my upper chest and lungs when i breathe deeply....sometimes it can hurt really bad then slowly go away, but leaves it feeling very tight, and sometimes difficult to breathe. i live on the big island of hawaii, and there is always "vog" from the volcano, which is like a real thick, hazy fog. could that have anything to do with it? any sugestions, ideas or opinions on what this could possibly be are very welcome. thanks ahead of time!!

My sons asthma gets worse at night cause you are laying down. He will wake up coughing so bad and I have to give him a breathing treatment asap. It just seems laying down at night makes it worse. Have you gotten a cold since this started? Colds also make asthma worse, when my son has a cold we have to do breathing treatments every 4 hours. Both my kids have asthma they are 7 and 11 years old. My husband also has it.  Go talk to your dr and she what he/she says that way you can get whatever it is treated and get on with your life and not have to worry about it.

Asthma? I never thought about asthma, but I suppose it is a very definite possibility. I did a little bit of research, and I read this often occurs at night? In my case, that is when it usually happens, but I think we'll probably go see the doctor to be sure. Thank you so much!!!

I would go talk to your doctor. You could have asthma but I am not a dr so I can't tell you that. My son has asthma and when his is acting up he starts coughing and he can't get his breath so he has to have a breathing treatment. But alot of people when they have asthma they have trouble breathing and their chest gets tight. The vog could be causing your problems. When the allegry count is up he has all kinds of problems with his, and he can't be outside when the air is bad. Just some ideas. I would go see your doctor so you can breath better.
Best of luck,
Jamie
