My uncle was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer,

he went to the ER for stomach pain now they said that his sugar was very high and they did bunch of tests where he ended up no eating  for 2 weeks by DR instructions

HbA1c    7.6      4.2 - 6.2
CEA       1.8       0   -  5
CA19-9   29              37

his last  regular blood test (wbc ,rbc..) and everything else came all normal after they fought the infection for 2 weeks where his WBC where completaly high ...
they also told him hi has diebetes ...

does this mean he will die very soon?
what else to be done ??? can he survive ? can they remove his pancreas and live with pills a normal life?
