6 Year old in grade 1 not settling down...

Hi there,
I will make this direct, and see if anyone has any advice.
We have a happy 6 year old whom is healthy, friendly, very active, social girl.   She Started Grade 1 French Immersion, 2 weeks ago.

Ive receieved a note from the teacher on the 2nd day, that she was "disruptive" in class. Ive spoken to my daughter, who denied any bad behavior in class at first...but admitted it, when pushed a little. She apologized, and we let it go.

I got another note today, that she had another "bad day on the carpet" being disruptive.

These are my thoughts...
1) She is disruptive, because she doesnt understand what is being said....(its all French) she gets bored.. so, I should pull her out.
2) She is learning to settle into a Grade 1 environment...after 3 years of "daycare" structure, that was totally different.
3)  I also, was an over active child...but  learned to calm down, in Grade 5...so, Im hoping she is "like me". ( I'm grasping here I know...)

Im afraid of the school or teacher giving her the "label" of ADD or ADHA....when, I really dont think she has those conditions.

Any advice, would be very much appreciated.
Signed, a worried mom in Ontario canada.....

thank you!
Yes she got a little "note" about being disruptive again.
(talking while the teacher is talking in a whisper tone, or not being focused=disruptive)
We have requsted a meeting with her.
Its sad, that a teacher gave negative feed back on a child, who is poliet, and happy and very kind on the second day of school. I asked my daughter what happened, and its because other kids are bugging her, so she asks them to leave her alone, and she seems to be getting caught for this...and repremanded.
So, we are going to discuss with the teacher about this in the meeting.
We are also, looking at the issue, of pulling her out of french immersion, and putting her into regular english stream.
the family doctor, has seen my daughter in action...and chuckles "she is just active"...so I dont think, he has seen an issue. But, Im going to bring in her agenda, and let him read it anyway. Our doctor, Im positive will say, "she is just over active"...as he is dead against drugs, as am I. and perhaps, suggest, more excersice in her life, and cut down on the already minimal sugar.
But...all of it is worth the college try.
Thanks!

Teachers do not diagnose children and so the label of "ADD or ADHD" will only apply if that term is given by a medical professional (I am a retired teacher from Ontario).  What I feel you need to do is speak to the teacher and find out exactly what is going on.  It could be any of the three scenarios you mentioned; or perhaps something else.
