Do you ever hear your parents when you speak?

I think most of us grow up and when we become parents, we have a list of all the things that our parents did that we don't want to repeat with our kids- even so, sometimes when you open your mouth, you just can't help but hear your mom or dads voice!

What are some of the things that you have said to your kids that your parents used to say- and it drove you crazy?  One thing I say, is when the kids ask what's for dinner, I catch myself saying "food" just like my mom used to.

"I didn't hear you." My mom and I have an auditory processing disorder. We both technically hear well but can't always process conversational sounds.
