How can I parent my 12 yr old son when his father let's him get away with everything? My son will not listen to me, when he asks for something and I say NO, he goes to his father and he says yes. I have asked my husband not to do this and that we have to co-parent and this includes being on the "same page". I am at my wits end and now I am not speaking to my son or my husband.
I agree that it is best for 2 parents to be on the same page , perhaps your husband thinks you are too tough on the boy, could that be so? you both have opinions ,you are saying that your son has to only abide by yours , give an example of something he may ask you, what is it you say No to that he thinks is okay, could it have become a competition between you two as to who gets the last word. ..Good Luck
