child hearing noises

my 6 year old has had a fever for 36 hours.  the fever has gone above 105 one time today.  we were able to bring it down w/in the hour.  tonight, she has woken up in panic 3 times; she is hysterical and complaining of a very loud noise.  i think she may just be hearing the quiet whirring sound of the heat coming on.  is it possible that the fever may have caused some damage?  she has never had night terrors or anything like this. dshe has not complained of any ear pain.  her only symptom besides fever is diarrhea.

When some children have a fever the only thing they can`t turn off is the increased sensation of the noise in their head, which is normally caused by their increased temp. heart beat and blood flow...If you want to eliminate the heating noise, then turn it off once as a test....Regards UK Ray
