Loss of Taste

Hi Everyone-

My mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's back in, I believe, 1998/1999 - she is also diagnosed manic/depression bi-polar and has heart disease, so she is on ALOT of medications.
She also had the DBS inserted on both sides.

This past year she noticed thinning of the hair and she has now lost her sense of taste. When speaking to her neurologist he seems... I don't not caring or he seems to brush these things off. We aren't sue if this is Parkinson's or due to the bevy of meds she is on.
She is getting more and more depressed due to the lack of information she has on the disease and symptoms and her doctor is not helping.

Any information or advice would be great, thanks!
