Mouth varicose vein

I have a very large purple mass on the floor of my mouth.  It is difficult to talk.  Last year I went to a mouth reconstruction doctor and he said it is a very large varicose vein. He said he cannot do anything as I would bleed too much.  This Sept my dentist was very alarmed and said I should seek immediate attention. What do I do?  I travel to other countries and do not wish problems while in another country. I am over 65.

I'll do some looking into it and see if I can find a link between the two.  It wounds like you're seeing the right people though.  A second (and in this case third) opinion isn't out of order especially if it's affecting something so important as your speech.  Keep in touch, okay?

I don't know.  It is so large I have difficulty talking.  My blood is pretty thin already. The dentist assistant said I was bleeding too much during a crown but I did not think it was bad.
It might or not be related but I have trouble with breathing and coughing/choking for over 5 years.  I finally chalked it up to sinus drainage. The only thing that worked was Singular about 4 years ago. Livable but made my job difficult; I have since retired.  Moving to Fl also helped because coming in from the cold triggered choking--My uncle had the same problem and moved to CA.
Don't mean to complicate but one website said mouth vein irregularities can be due to lung and throat problems.

Hi Augustkm,
Thank you for the post, sorry I'm just now getting to it.  I'm afraid that I'm going to be of little help of you on this.  Was your dentist alarmed due to the possibility of bleeding?
Thanks,
John
