Dear Lisa,
I can't say for sure what is happening with your son without evaluating him. I can recommend that he make sure that he is well hydrated, especially if he is exerting himself and especially if he is doing so in the heat and humidity. He should drink 32-48 ounces of fluid, have a salty snack, not skip meals, and avoid caffeine on a daily basis. If he is exercising outside, he should drink an additional 30-50 ounces per hour. However, if this persists, he may need to be evaluated.
Thank you so much! Hopefully this is just a dehydration issue, so we will up his water intake while he is outside. And we will continue to monitor his hr. If this continues, I will get him in to see his doctor.
:)
Lisa
