If an echocardiogram was performed on your baby, it is the responsibility of the doctor who ordered that study to review the results with you, as they know why the test was ordered, and what your child's examination shows.  The report says that your baby has 2 holes in the heart walls : one between the upper heart chambers (ASD) and one between the lower heart chambers (VSD). The report says that the ASD is large and the VSD is moderate in size.  Sometimes holes like these make it hard for a baby to eat well and gain weight.  On the other hand, many times these holes get smaller on their own over time.  Sometimes medications are needed to help babies who have problems related to these holes. It is too early in your child's life to be able to say how it will work out in their particular situation.  You should be alert to how well the baby is feeding and growing and how fast they are breathing.  it sounds like your child should be followed by a pediatric cardiologist.  Good,luck.
