Child's strange pain in mouth/jaw

For a month my 8 year daughter has complained of a sharp pain in her right cheek/ jaw inside her mouth where the jaw and teeth meet...it comes out of no where last about 10 minutes and goes away only to come back one week later... So it is a weekly pain...comes around every five to seven day...no triggers no pain when manipulated or rubbed...please help

Once I had a pain very like that, and it turned out a tooth was cracking.  Has her dentist checked all the teeth in that area?

It definitely sounds like a dental problem or a problem with her jaw. She could have a cracked tooth, or she could be grinding her teeth when she sleeps. Another option is that her teeth are lining up wrong or that there is a tooth growing in where it shouldn't be. She should see a dentist, and possibly an orthodontist.
